Hi everyone. I am helping Binder Casting out of New York get the word
out about an Atlanta audition for a National Tour of Dreamgirls. The
audition is Saturday, May 9th at Studio Dionne School of Dance and
Music, 524 Plasters Ave. Atlanta, GA 30324

Prepare a brief standard R&B or gospel song that is appropriate to the
character for which you are auditioning. Bring sheet music. A pianist
will be provided. Bring a picture and a resume, stapled together.

STILL SEEKING:

EFFIE WHITE (20's) African-American. This vibrant young woman is as
oversized in talent as she is in person. Effie is the true powerhouse
in the group, a soaring singer whose voice overpowers and transcends
Deena's and Lorrrell's. Smitten with Curtis from the beginning, Effie
is overcome by anger and jealousy when she senses his growing
attraction to Deena. Effie should be full-figured and her size carries
with it a true sense of sexuality. HUGE GOSPEL BELT VOICE. Must move
very well.

DEENA JONES (20's) African-American. The young, thin, beautiful member
of the Dreams. Happy singing backup to Effie until Curtis puts her in
the lead and grooms her as the star of the group. Tall is good. MEZZO,
BIG FULL BELT. Must move very well.

LORRELL ROBINSON (20's) African-American. The third 'Dream'. A sexy,
flirtatious girl from the projects of Detroit who has been singing
with her best friends Effie and Deena for years. Lorrell carries on an
affair with Jimmy Early who refuses to leave his wife for her.
SOPRANO, ON TOP OF MOST TRIAD HARMONY, BIG FULL BELT. Must move very
well.

MICHELLE MORRIS (20's) African-American. Effie's replacement in the
Dreams. Thin and beautiful, she sings bottom in harmonies. BIG BELT.
Must move very well.

Terrell Johnson and Anthony Walker never were much on working a nine to five. They craved adventure and excitement. The life of a high roller and big baller was their aim. Only one thing stood in their way. They were broke and on lockdown, in
Bolton County Correctional, awaiting trial for running a complex low income real estate scheme, which cost their already impoverished victims big bucks..

After being found guilty at trial, the judge gave Terrell and Anthony a choice; ten years hard time or work at a local unemployment agency situated in the heart of Atlanta’s gang-infested south side, helping the destitute and the poor find gainful employment.

The industrious pair immediately jump at the opportunity, thinking that they could find a way to work yet another hustle; anything to avoid jail time. But what Terrell and Anthony discover along the way, changes both their lives and the lives of those they were sentenced to help. For the time in their lives, the duo give back to the neighborhood they stole from and in doing so, re-discover a sensitivity and humanity they thought long extinguished by a life time of doing cons.

The techniques will be performed and photographed in Atlanta as well as a photoshoot. The model will receive full RAW images of the chosen shots for her portfolio.

During the travel dates, all that is required of the model is to do a runway walk during the "reveal" part of the presentation.
